This brings up the whole idea of drive up ATM etiquette.
Do I leave my pistol in my concealed carry holster or take it out, and if I do take it out, do I place it on the console or tuck it under my leg or behind my back. Or do I leave my concealed carry pistol where it is and pull out my second pistol? Where do I put that? If I'm riding with a passenger, is it acceptable to ask if they brought their own weapon? Do you loan them your 3rd pistol if they're unarmed? Do you inform them about the 9mm carbine in the back seat in case things really go bad? I'm so confused sometimes. |

Till this day, I cannot figure out how they followed me because my route had several spots where I can definitely tell if I am being followed. My plates do not lead back to the spot I was robbed. Well anyway, one of the robbers is dead and buried in Houston Memorial Gardens. |

There was also an incident of this occurring here in Dallas last Saturday in the Forest and Marsh area.

When I lived in Houston our shop was in the hood---right off of Ella blvd south of FM 1960.
When we still gave out hard checks (to the people that could not get bank accounts) most of them would go around the corner to a Texaco to get their checks cashed for huge fees. This Texaco always had a crowd of people hanging around it (working girls, pimps, street pushers) and the guys just never learned. 4 times (the same guy was had twice) they got followed from this gas station that was literally 2 blocks away and then robbed at gunpoint at the first red light. |

This group and this particular crime, (MO) are not robbers. They're careful to avoid the violent crime aspect. They're very much better organized than ATM robbers and are heavy into low risk (to themselves) and high profit crimes. They stake out a bank and watch for people making large cash withdrawals. They'll use rent cars and the actors communicate by phone. They can have someone, possibly female, inside. Once someone makes a large cash withdrawal they follow (2 or 3 rent cars) and wait for the car to stop. The MO counts on the person hiding the large amount of cash inside the car and they just break a window (they use glass breakers) and get the cash. It's over very quickly and if caught (infrequently) they don't catch the whole group and are charged with a misdemeanor burglary of auto.

This is one reason I changed to a glock 19 as my primary carry gun.
My 6 round G43 was lacking in capacity. Our society is in the mode the last 10 years or more, of not locking up shitbags for 20+ years anymore for violent crime and instead, lets them out only after a short period of time to re-victimize the public. Its best that these clowns don't get a chance to re-offend for the protection of society and our families who dont travel armed. Hopefully the new DOJ will help fix this catch-release policy but I'm not sure it will be anytime soon for many embedded reasons in state/local prosecutors office practices. Example is, why is MOSBY not on-trial at this moment for her obvious crimes against the state of MD and the Baltimore Police officers? The civil lawsuit pending is not enough. There must be criminal prosecution of corrupt government officials who commit fraud. |

"Ella Blvd off of 1960" do not be caught there 'bouts after dark. Even after 2pm to be safe...

For the second time in 3 weeks, someone has gotten my debit card numbers. I thought it was off my PC, but nope. I opened an account at another bank and have used it damn little in 3 weeks. Someone in Florida has made a duplicate ATM card and is pulling money out at a Waffle House, even transferring money out of the savings account, so they have the pin. Already killed the card, off to the bank this morning, probably going to be able to narrow it down to a gas station. It's gotta be inside the pump or worse, inside the gas station. Gotta figure out how to report this.

JoeMama, they got me last year. Used a card only 4 times in a month, 3 times online for ammo/gear and 1 time for a tank of diesel locally. Four days after last card use, late on a Saturday evening, my email blows-up with fraud alerts. Multiple card attempts in a Florida mall, Victorias Secret, pots and pans, and pizza hutt. They only got the pizzas... Monday morning my Credit Union was on it, but for such a small amount they just canceled the card and refunded the account, no law enforcement follow up even requested. I thought for sure it was the local gas station but then there was huge multi-month General Discussion thread on this board about a ammo/gear dealer with piss-poor web security, I had made one purchase from them that month...

Someone in Florida made a counterfeit card and I'm seeing video game charges in Nevada. About $1000 total. Bank is refunding the amounts and I've got a new card already. I hadn't actually used the card since the beginning of April. They didn't have the pin. They didn't seem too worried at the bank, but the 2 people in front of me were there for the same thing. Eventually we're gonna have to track these guys down and break some fingers.

When I retire, if I spent more time on the road and had a commute, I would do something like that if I could store it where I was going . I carry a spare mag and that puts me at 30 rounds. Florida seems to be a nexus for crazy crap generally and financial shenanigans specifically.

You know the one they say is almost a "no-go zone" makes me wonder if theres res not an inside ring within visa. That card was widely used but used at the same places. I didn't make any purchases with that card at any place I hadn't purchased from before and had also used another card at the same places. But all they had was that one, debit card number |
