Texas H.C.R. 32 has " RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas hereby designate the Bowie knife as the official State Knife of Texas."  The Bowie knife's birthplace was Louisiana, and it happens to be illegal to carry one in Texas, but let's make it our official State knife mascot. Yay!

ETA: let's hope they pass HB 1935 so HCR 32 is half as queer.  Anyone know when the vote on 1935 is?  Can't find it in yesterday's calendar.
