That's not what the judge said..........she said she would likely throw out the ONLY mail fraud charges because there was no linkage.

The six mail fraud charges are iffy at best.
The bribery charge and four counts of tax evasion are far more important.

That US Attorney needs to be shitcanned regardless of the outcome. The eight not guilty verdicts, and 3 hung jury should only serve to expedite the process.

I was watching the media setting up outside the courthouse this morning. When JWP walked out he was surrounded; it was funny watching this gaggle of reporters and cameras surrounding him move slowly across the street. Last I heard he was down in our lobby posing for pictures.

That depends on the jury's makeup. Having lived in Dallas, I think I can comfortably say if certain elements were on the jury, they could have been shown drug trafficking bills of sale from the Medellin with JWP's signature and fingerprints on them, and the jury would still either return a not guilty verdict or be a hung jury.

I seriously think you'd have an easier time sending Hillary Clinton to prison than certain Dallas political figures.

You don't need a "fix" when the prosecution fails to turn over a substantial amount of documents to the defense.
I'll bet the USAO wishes the judge had declared a mistrial a few weeks ago.
