So theres an advertisement on texas gun trader for a free private gun range

Nothing really trips any red flags for me in the description, just talking about range safety and rules etc, gotta make an appointment.

But it just doesnt sound right to me. Why would someone advertise on the internet for people to come to their property and shoot for free? Is there something im missing? They say they offer training, im sure that costs something, but is this really something people do?

Im on the fence on whether i should check it out

I've spent a quite a bit of time in Africa (wife is from JoBerg - no pics). Poaching is a huge problem in southern Africa. A lot of the private game parks hire PMC types to protect the animals. The rangers in the South African National Parks shoot first and ask questions later if they see a person with a gun. They carry G3s and are excellent shots I'm told.

ETA: Yeah... The "Free Range" is way creepy. "You sure got a pretty mouth" creepy.

You all worry too much. Somebody that lives near San Antonio make an appointment to shoot at the range. Prior to arriving at the range pack your ass with steel wool and you won't have to worry about no free love.
