Hey guys. I'm from the Shreveport, LA, area but I travel to the DF/W area once or twice a month. I am looking for a range to shoot my 6.5 Grendel at somewhat long range distances. My ideal range would have steel targets at least 800 yards and 1,200 would be even better. I would consider a yearly membership if that is what it takes.

I can really drive anywhere within 300 miles of Shreveport, LA. I don't close my store until 2 PM on Saturdays so a range that was open on Sundays would be best.

Can you guys give any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Try tiger valley. They have a 1k plus a tower. I took an excellent AK class there.

I'm not far from you, but I've heard about Long Range Alley. I don't go to Louisiana as much as I used too, but this is in your area:

That's seriously a 4hr drive from most of the DFW metro.

Anyone in the know on the NETT (North East Texas Tactical, 1500yd range with steel) litigation that's been ongoing?  Trial was supposed to be back in June, but I haven't seen/heard anything since May really.

Always wanted to get out there while I was still in TX, but no such luck.

Sorry for the delay Dan. I am a member of Long Range Alley Gun Club and shoot there pretty often. Looking for something new to do.

The family membership for $69 a month looks doable for a couple of visits.

You have to pay for the whole year. The '$69 a month' membership is their bait and switch way of getting people to the range... I mean their way of offering financing. And after all is said and done you pay more in installments than you would the whole year up front. Of course this information isn't available on the website.

The more you know.

I am a member at ETTS and it's a pretty nice range. Kinda pricey, but they have a variety of types of ranges.

Yeah it's $600.00 for a yearly membership. If you take a guest I believe it's $20.00 for the day.

Thanks for the info!

I thought about driving down to take a look at the facility. But, since I am from "out of town," I don't think I would be able to get my money's worth paying for a whole year.
