If they are surveying, that means that a landman has developed a route already.  Unless there are environmental issues, there typically isn't much else that would keep it from workin.  They'll put their proposed ROW on a plat and submit it to you with an agreement.

Can ask ask, what county is this in?

Oh ok, nice.  I sold some assets there when I worked for EP Energy in a 2013 sale.  Someone mentioned the Keystone and that will largely avoid your county from my understanding of that route.  When you bought your property, did the deed make note of any and all oil n gas leases and ROWs/Easements?  You may want to pull those agreements from your local courthouse to have them on record if you don't already.  Especially since a previous owner did the agreements.  You'll want those to understand what the terms of the agreements were to know what rights you still have and what rights the owners of the agreements have.

Is this for the Midland to Sealy pipeline?

That's what I'm thinking.  I'm in Bell county.  We started getting notice 1 month ago.  I've seen the surveyors skittering around lately.

The article I read stated it was supposed to be completed next year.  That's not possible right?

Depending on how wide a creek they need to cross, I have a some railroad flatcars I can sell them for use as bridges.  If they need a bridge, you let me know, I get a ale out of it I will take care of you.

Make sure it's widened enough to retain a shooting lane!

We were approached by someone wanting to buy most of the ranch.
We said make offer, they did.

I think we may be moving.
