So I was reading an article about that day and today the weather where I am was the same as that day. Gloomy cold and grey.......

I drove my UT Edition Silverado Saturday in the Texas Independence Day Parade for the American Diabetes Association... bad weather... really light turnout. There were the Silver Spurs with Smokey the Cannon and a few veterans/re-enactors groups there, but much fewer than usual... all the High School marching bands cancelled out. Most of the other groups that are usually there like the Miata club, the Shriners, and some of the senior citizens' drill teams also cancelled out. I hope the weather is better for next year.

My kids came home from school I ask if their teacher told them anything special about today they said yeah Dr. Seuss was born on this day. They pulled them out of class to learn about Dr. Seuss not that it's Texas Independence Day what the F is going on. What the fuck did Dr. Seuss do that make him better the Texas Independence

Went to the Parade, UT Cowboys showed up with their cannon, every one of them drunk off their ass. The Parade marshal told them to get lost and threw them out.
