JC's burgers in Allen are pretty good. I'm sure they have one or some in Plano also
|

Whataburger
Twisted Root is interesting sometimes and good (Regular burgers of course, but seasonally they will have some...different...meats. Right now, one location has camel, another kangaroo.) Scotty P's (wife's pick) |
|
I like Liberty Burger but it always seems to be better at lunch. The three times I have been for dinner the service is slow and the burgers not as good. Scotty P's is pretty good too. Both in Allen

I know it's not Plano or Allen, but Kenny's Burger Joint in Frisco is good, too. (Legacy & 121)

There are several Whataburger locations to choose from
Other than that, Jakes used to be a damn good burger. Should be one in Plano, the one in Allen closed several years ago. I liked The Works |

+1 for Twisted Root.
Having said that, if you have the time make the drive down to Maple & Motor - I really think this is the best burger in Dallas. |
|
Well, went to Scotty P's. Byob sign on the door, so went to racetrack and got a sixer of Miller fortune.
Had the Harrington cheeseburger. It was great. Been a while since I've had a good cheeseburger. Txl |

Anyone remember the burger joint at Web Chapel and Denton Drive.
Name started with an "S"???? Right by the airport, tore the place down when the Dart rail came through. Edited to add: The place was called "Club Schmitz". Any old timers remember the place? Had many a burger and beer there. |

I go once a week now.You have to get there early, it's always packed. Another good place is Square Burger in the McKinney downtown square, allot of beer on tap as well. |

Anyone remember Dunston's Burger, next to thier staekhouse, burgers were the bomb.. Good steaks too
Txlewis, hurt4u took us to a staekhouse in Wichita falls after hunfarm, what was that? |

Off topic but if you ever make it up Sherman way, this is the best, old fashion, greasy bun burger around.
No debit or credit cards allowed, cash money only. Local businesses will call in 50-100 takeout orders at lunch time so there can be a wait. BTW: they have sold two multi-million dollar lotto tickets here. https://local.yahoo.com/info-25726016-lit-l-store-sherman |

They're gone!?! I used to eat there now and then when I worked at Parkland. Last time was around 4 or 5 years ago, I guess. Figured they'd be around forever.

I had the best burger I've had in a long time (possibly ever), this past weekend. Granted it's WAY outside of your area, but it was pretty amazing. Lucy's Cafe in Celina, Tx. on the square. I got their bacon cheeseburger; Angus beef, thick-cut bacon..... It was wonderful.
I was disappointed to find they've discontinued their Sunday Brunch Buffet, but was amazed by my Plan B burger. They serve it with fries or really good home made potato chips. One of the owners made a nice paella out where you could see it being made, too. I love that place. Genuine, small town comfort food and now, paella, too! |

I neglected to mention too (not just DFW, they're a chain), Smashburger. Been there a couple times, both times pretty tasty.
