The Bug Out is a test for what gear you have in your bug out bag, not what you think we are going to throw at you.  We try and take as much gaming as we can out of the drill.  The bug out is a test, as such we don't allow zeroing for the test the day before.

What time can we get out there friday? I'm assuming we wouldn't be out that way until late afternoon / early evening with the camper.

Well boys and girls I am sorry to announce I will be missing my first BOD in 5 years! I had originally intended to run it, however due to injury I am out. To all my rabid supporters out there thanks for all the props. Now due to a family loss I will miss even watching. You all have fun and most of all learn from this. Use it as an honest assessment of where you are and get better. As I have stated in the past, I completed my first BOD dead last and only got better from there. Good luck!

First one for me and had a blast.  Obstacles were hard for me with a SLAP tear and strained calf but was able to make up for it on the hike.  Fun event abd everyone was very friendly and supportive

Standings

Time is in total minutes with penalties and bonus points add.  Misses with the pistol and rifle were heavy, due to the fact that if you loose the gun battle your time is up any way.  We had 25 challenges with 3 bonus stages.  The Bonus stages were identifying 3 hostiles hidden in the woods that were armed with M-16, MP5 and AK47.  Those walking together had a marked advantage due to the observation skills of a group compared to a single person.  The event started with a Shotgun start.  Each shooter was required to fire 30 rounds in one minute at a moving target.  Harpol, who started 29th finished in first place, Congrats!!!!!

I want to congratulate everyone, this is the first year everyone finished the total 16 miles.  I hope everyone gained something from the event and I look forward to seeing you guy again  T.J.

Thank you to TJ, Bret, Tillman, and to Tillman's wife for putting in the work to allow us to come out and play...

Great job to everyone out there that finished!

Kudos to Mrs Diggerwolf!, most wives do not even want to come out to something like this and I was impressed to see you each lap!  Even coming in to the finish, you still looked like you were having fun.. Not to mention how comforting to know you and your spouse is on the same level so that you can get to where you need to go when you need to..

Its great to see all my friends and meet new ones!

Harpol, you hit it hard for sure!! You too Fooks and Moses!
Although for Moses, I think you learned why we carry bribe money, LOL!!! Always pay it forward, it keeps you ahead of Karma!!

They made the big entrance by parachute but didn't jump with their weapons and gear?  Is that some FAA restriction or were they just asked not to jump with gear for safety reasons?

The Bug Out Drill is an annual event.  It normally happens in the Sep/Oct timeframe.  The exact date is dependent upon Tiger Valley's training schedule.  The date is typically posted about 6-8 months before the event.

Just wanted to be lazy this year and have fun, left the freefall rucks at the loft. Nothing starts the day better than a fun skydive with a pretty girl, who by the way, out shot everyone on the rifle range. Thanks to TJ and his gang for another fun Bug Out Drill.

Jumping with weapons and gear is really just a huge pain, especially out of a Cessena 182.  It is not quite as bad if you are jumping from a Tailgate plane.

Looks like another amazing event was put on by TJ and staff thanks for your effort! Looks like I missed out on a ton of new faces and a chance to catch up with a bunch of old. To All of you thanks for the kudos. As to the injury it is the same one that I trained with and completed the last BOD with a f'ed up foot. I am trying to let it heal before I hit it that hard again. Everytime I think I have it licked I hurt it again. I promise I will be there next year even if my foot is dicked up. I may even bring my little sidekick and pack mule Hunters Moon. With many new stories to tell and memories made.  Until then train and learn.

If you did not get a coin, send me an email with your address and I will try and send a couple to you.  (I'll have to engrave some more)
They were intended to be in place of the poker chips so everyone could take them with them but I was not able to get them to TJ early enough to put out.
