There's a big caliche pit out on the Moss Ranch over in Odessa where my dad runs some cattle. We go out there and shoot a lot, there's a bunch of crap out there, couple of big old wooden spools where we put up targets, max shooting range is about 200 yds within the pit itself, it's a really nice place to go and shoot.
It'd be cool to get together with some like minded folks. I don't have a bbq pit I could bring but I could bring about 20lbs of ground beef for burgers. If someone else has a pit they could bring that'd be cool. We could get someone to bring tomatoes lettuce bread that sort of thing, buns of course, potato chips! We've been shooting for a while, anyone who wants to come is welcome. Just ask that you be positive and safe. Usually we don't have kids out there but they come sometimes and are more than welcome. 
Those kids are great at picking up all the good brass haha! And the girl is a helluva shot with her cricket .22 
like I said :) 
friends wife after a mag dump haha If you're interested in going shoot me a PM. We usually go shooting a couple times a month. We usually meet at the Loves on I-20 and W County Rd. (SE Corner) and roll out from there. Bring your dirtbike if you want and a spotlight if you wanna stay after it gets dark and shoot rabbits.

If things work out I'm in after I get off work at noon or so. I'll try to get my buddy from work to come, if so we have a steel plate pistol target set up we could bring out for a few hours. Also have a few silhouette targets for this thing.

I need to learn Texas geography better. I was picturing Odessa around where Abilene is. My first thought was 'only about 2 hours away...doable'. But then I saw it's about 4 hours away. Gonna have to skip this one.

I'm driving from Midland to Odessa anyway and the airport is on the way. See if you can get in around 12-1 or so. Had a great time and it was nice to meet all you guys.
Thanks for letting us use you place to do this. Had a blast shooting the suppressed stuff , gonna make the month or so wait I have left on mine even harder. Let me know when you want to do this again . I'll try to get some more steel targets cut out so we can set up a run & gun. Thanks again. |

Had a great time. I have to get me one of those kick ass padded belts and holsters.
Awesome meeting everyone and I look forward to doing it again. Let's do it again April 12th. I'll edit original post and topic :D Loved those shooting targets GIVEMEMYTOYS made up. That was some impressive craftsmanship! Thanks for leaving them out there for us to use! Next time we will get more rifle shooting in and more tannerite! I'd like to do some more long range shooting. We need to see about maybe getting a couple of nice shooting tables out there, that'd be cool. |
