I have yet to see one. Anyone know of a location that has them in stock?

I've yet to see any in the Plano/Frisco/Little Elm area. None of the WM's that I frequent carry anything more than airsoft/CO2 pellet/BB guns.

Maybe the WM on 288 in Denton?

Saw an off brand AR 15/22 and a Ruger in the cabinet at the Wal Mart on highway 80 and Beltline in Mesquite, no Colts, though.

The only ones I've seen in the Austin area were at the WM out by Hutto... The cammo'd Remington R-15 that is AWB compliant (no muzzle brake or bayo lug, 5 rd mag).

Still... if you told me a couple years ago Wal-Mart would stock ANY AR, I'd have thought you nuts.

Hudson oaks wal mart (close to Jerry's Chevrolet in Weatherford) exit 415 I-20 had two colts yesterday, several bushmasters, and several AR style 22's.

If they don't have one in stock at your local store that does sell guns, see if they can order it for you. If I remember correctly, they basically have a catalog they can order from. Trick will be finding someone there that knows how to do it.

so what's the basic price? is there an extra fee for ordering off the catalog, or do you just
have to pay in advance?

only WM I normally go by that has any guns is in San Marcos

I haven't looked for them in awhile, but I seem to remember them selling for $1097.

The Walmart in Brenham, Texas has several flavors of AR15s. I was shocked to find a DPMS .308 Caliber AR for around $900.

They did, for a little while. I haven't seen them the last two times Ive been there. But that could just be my timing.

Same price down in Del Rio... along with Sig's new AR for around $920, Bushys for $700 or so, and DPMS's optic-read flattop for around $670. Usually there are a couple in the case, but the clerk says they sell them weekly. Makes sense, considering the overpriced competition in town.

You should just be able to order and have rifles shipped in store from their catalog no matter where you're at.

Not at the WM on 288. I was in there last week trying to get a new hunting/fishing license. DPMS, Bushmaster and something else but I don't remember what it was.

No extra fee to order one, they have a catalog in store, (its even online if you search for walmart firearms catalog...but it does not show prices just what they can order)

Last time I ordered a rifle from wal mart I had to pay half to order it and half when I picked it up, but that has been a few years and at the local to me store (it may be the managers call?)

The one in Mansfield on Walnut Creek had them the last time I looked. That was 2 weeks ago.
You might call them to check on availability.
