THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
im most likely going to be moving to the area come fall for school

1) do you know of anyone who will be renting rooms and such around that time?
and
2) would anyone, who owns or knows an owner/manager/etc be looking for manual/mechanical/retail/food labor? eg..hiring around that time

i know, i know.. craigslist and such but i thought id try and ask here first before really looking through the ads

thanks guys

Houston is kinda big... Might want to tell people where you will be attending school so they can narrow your choices down some

Google maps puts that between 290 and I-10.

You might try focusing your search on that side of Houston or you will be spending most of your time and money driving.

We are on the opposite end so I don't know much about that part of town.

Good luck with the upcoming move and school.
It is a character issue and clearly goes hand-in-hand with whatever makes you dislike women and compels you to judge them on unrealistic criteria over which only you have control. Sounds a bit deep-seated, doesn't it? RictusGrin

Well, that shows to be in the spring branch area, a bit outside of downtown. I have not been in that area in some time, but it was a rough area not too long ago. I would consider looking for a place closer to I-10 or in the villages just south of 10. Maybe someone will come along with more recent experience in the area.

As far as work, Memorial City Mall is just down the road at 10 and Beltway 8 and a bunch of retail or dealerships in that area.

Habla Espanol?

Kidding, but not really. If you are in the Spring Branch area (Gessner and I-10), you may want to try out Town Center for Restaurant work.

Good luck brother!
