I have been going to the walmarts at abrams and 635 and midway & 635 and they have had nothing in stock but federal .22 and hunting calibers.

No .45, .40, or 9mm to be had. There was a box or two of the WWB 100 rd value packs of .38 spl at the one at midway

Yeah I was there around 8:30pm tonight and there was still quite a bit on the end cap.

They had some 9mm stell as well.

Academy on 75 at spring creek had quite a bit of variety of 9mm this morning. The walmart next door had a lot of 9mm 100ct boxes and some 380 and lots of 40SW.

I am starting to find 9mm a lot easier to find. around plano mckinney

Weatherford Wal-Mart, Friday afternoon. One of the few remaining Wal-Marts that sells guns.

All but wiped out of ammo, 4 value packs of Winchester .22 shells and a few boxes of centerfire rifle ammo.

Quite a bit of birdshot in 12 and 20 gauge.

As of 7:00 p.m. yesterday evening, the new Academy in McKinney still had good quantities of Monarch .223 in both brass ($9.99/box) and steel ($6.29/box). The steel case is on an end cap on the ammo aisle facing the gun counter. They also have .45 Blazer brass ($19.99/box) and Winchester USA ($22.99/box). I didn't pay much attention to prices because I own neither, but they also had a fair amount of .40 and 9mm. My inquiry on .380 was greeted with a scoff.

There were so many people in there looking at guns last night you'd have thought they were giving them away.

Try this site. I have found it to be useful and the users keep it fairly up-to-date.

Houston Carter Country on I-10 by Voss has a bunch of Q3131 for $12/box. They also have a ton of WWB 100 packs in .40 S&W, and .38 for a decent price. They had a case of XM193 but I bought it. (sorry) I saw some Remington 9mm as well, not sure on the price.

ETA: .40 WWB $39/100

Austin- Wal Mart at 35 and Ben White

No 9mm, 357 Sig WWB, and I think the guy in front of me bought the last .223 UMC.

The Leatherman Blast multi tool was on clearance for 45 down to 25. They had three left in the clearance aisle, just to the right of the sporting goods counter.

academy at 635 and 75 is out of almost everything. Only 2 boxes 9mm 1 box 38 special, and not much .22. Plenty of 223 steel and brass cased though if you want to overpay. Also I did the math today and the price for walmart shotgun shells and academy remingtons are so darn close if you need 250 and want to reload them you better buy at academy. Good luck out there.

Was on the road today and stopped by two Wal-Marts. Store in Victoria was out of pretty much everything. Store in San Antonio at 410/Rigsby had a little 357 and had a bunch of 22LR.

The armory has Fed AE in stock in 9mm for $269/1000. That seems to work ok in my MP5.

They also had PMAGS for 29.99. Had about a dozen of them left at 7:00pm

The Academy on N183 in Austin had Blazer 10mm and some .22 short.

Gander Mountain (Houston/Cypress) location Hwy 290 @ FM1960 has about 100,000+ rounds of bulk Federal Lake City .223 ammo in 1000 rd boxes (advertised price $499). However, if you talk to the firearms manager (good guy btw) he might sell them to you for $400 box if you buy two.

Last night at Cabela's Fort Worth:

Hornady 55 gr 50 rd boxes 29.99
Hornady 55 gr SP 50 rd boxes31.99
Fiochi 40 gr V-Max 50 rd boxes 23.99
Fiochi 40 gr V- Max 20 rd boxes 10.99 was 12.99
Fiochi 55 gr fmj 50 rd boxes 24.99
Remington 55 gr mc 20 rd boxes 10.99

Sorry I was not able to get more prices on other calibers, but they were closing on me so I had to hurry. That is all the 223 ammo that I saw, no 5.56 that I found but they had alot of all the above listed.

Well looks like I'm going to need to take a trip east to find ammo. Pickens are slim here in West Texas. What about powder and primers?
