As I'm not native to Kansas City, what is there to do and what is worth seeing for a low key weekend vacation for a group of guys?

Restaurants?
Bars?
Gun Shops?
Recreational activities?

Thanks

Restaurants:  do you like barbecue?

https://www.joeskc.com/  This is a really good one.

There are others, including Gates Barbecue, with multiple locations.  I really like Gates, some turn their noses up at it.  When you go in, they yell at you to give your order, so check out the menu when you get in line.

Fried Chicken, Strouds is one good one.  There are other nice restaurants, including some really good Mexican.  The Country Club Plaza, Power & Light District downtown have some great places.  Lots of others people will suggest.

Gun Shops:

https://www.frontier-justice.com/  A premier "Guntry Club", really nice selection of guns, stuff for women (in case you want to pick up a gift), really good indoor ranges, with nice people.  Gun rentals, shooting prices not bad.

http://www.targettimedefense.com/   Never been here, looks cool though.

https://www.centerfiress.com/  Caters more to indoor shooting than gun sales but they have guns too.

The World War One museum is pretty good.

I'm a big fan of Carollo's Italian Grocery in the market area for sammiches.

Carollos link

But it ain't the kinda place for a buncha doods to sit around over a few beers.  Head down to the Power & Light district for that, plenty of places there for that kinda thing, and lotsa eye candy on warm days.  Just sayin'.

Legonds in west KCK is always a good choice.  Tons of restaurants / bars.  Race trace is there, cabelas, minor league  baseball, pro soccer, casino and retail shopping if you are into that.

WW1 Museum is a must

Joe's KC or Jackstck for BBQ (JOES CLOSED ON SUNDAY).

Some serious FRIED CHICKEN herd these days, suggest Rye in Leawood. Has a great bar there as well. Not a llace to hang out all night but a great meal and drink or two it is perfect.

Several ranges depending on which part of town

Cabelas, Scheels, Academy and numerous LGS options too.

I think there may be a race this weekend at the speedway too. If there is stay away from the Legends!
