Considering last-minute plan for a road trip from Miami, Florida to DC to see the Inauguration on Friday. I'm aware the entire country is converging in that area for the weekend so everything will be booked or very expensive. Is safety questionable for out of towners? Traveling with my kid. It would be my first inauguration and as a Trump supporter I would pay extra to experience this. Have a few ideas:

  1. Drive to Baltimore, book a hotel for the night and take the train to DC in the morning.

  2. Fly to Baltimore or Va, book a hotel, take train to DC and fly back down

  3. Fly to DC/stay in DC (wouldn't mind avoiding a ridiculous price on hotel stay)

Any advice?
