My wife is taking a training course in Christiana during August.  I will be up there with a 17 year old girl and an 8 year old girl.  Is there anything interesting around there?

Museums, planetariums?
Anything would be helpful.

Thanks,

Your close to Wash.and Philly about an hour from each. D.C has great museums and cool zoo (National Zoo) all free. Kids will like the Franklin Institute in Philly (not free). The beaches are cool in De. also about an hour from Christiana.

Not too far north of Christiana you have the Hagley museum(history of the Dupont family's early days), Longwood gardens, Winterthur gardens, The Brandywine River museum(repository of Wyeth art collection) and right down the road from that is the Brandywine battlefield(Revolutionary war). Lots of stuff going on up there.
