Other than the obvious answer of "ride it", what are your camel plans?
Are you going to breed them?
I don't recall that people use their fur the way alpacas or other animals are used
How do you expect they'll hold up to the seasons there?

It isn't Spark's.  It's owned by the family of a friend of mine who have an alpaca farm.  I'm not sure what they're doing with other than to just say "you're argument is invalid because I own a Camel in WY".

That's ok
There was an alpaca farm down the road from my old place that made quite a business of selling alpaca-related blankets and such
Always seemed odd seeing them in the field when I'd drive by
Theres actually two or three alpaca farms in the county now so the novelty has worn off
We have a herd of buffalo on the other side of the county; they're equally odd to watch since most people don't expect buffalo in upstate NY
http://www.glenwoodfarms.com/
Luckily I've never had to deal with them the few times they've left their fields.

Then we have these guys raising water buffalo
http://www.ithacawaterbuffalo.com/farm/

I guess you could say the agricultural market in the area is diversifying

More pictures from our long week up at the cabin.

One of our buds, taking a reading on his Kestrel

Sparks playing Pig with the hatchet.

For a little throwback, one evening, we played a little Halo 2 on Xbox.  My son wasn't very good the last time we played, but he was maybe 10.....Sparks is just insanely good, so I lost big time.

Our friend and his son making fire.

Enjoying good company by the fire.

Well well got to get out the shottys today... Seems like my m4 has finally swayed the masses of the wife's family because all a sudden there is two more m4 Bennies that joined the crew... So needless to say today was a run and gun shot gun break in day and it was awesome..... Nothing like having black smudge on your face from so much powder being burnt whoot whoot... And after a few rounds of run and gun with a buddy we all laughed at the amount of skill it takes to keep constant fire going... One is shooting while other is loading... Always loading and loading it's none stop.. Gotta love the shotgun

Some dipshit has their eye pro on their hat instead of their eyes....

Those are some good pictures.  Thank god you didn't post any video, cause we don't look as bad in stills as I'm sure we do moving.

It was good to learn with way is best to have the shells in the bandalier.     Still slow as hell reloading.

Something else we learned; bandoleers are slow as hell to load from.  The SKD shotgun velcro shell holders are great, and better to load from.   I didn't bring enough of them.

Youngest son shot his first whitetail this weekend.  He helped me process it last night, staying up with me till after 11 to get it all done.

It was a good weekend.

From the tree stand in my dad's property, about 20min before his shot.

Just recently visited your state and wanted stop by and say thank you for keeping such a beautiful place.  I'll post pictures when I get home. Would love to move to the western side.
Yellowstone park.  We stayed in a cabin for 3 nights at Yellowstone lake.  We just got done camping in Washington  for 5 nights where we did some shooting and such, but Ill save those pictures for another forum

Yellowstone River

Kids built sand castles for 2 afternoons at the lake.

Kemmerer, WY Digging up fossils all day.  We found 100 + lbs of fossils in rocks, we brought home about 50 lbs.  This was at a tourist trap outside of Butte Monument, but worth it as my family enjoyed the sun and digging.  My family loved finding all the fossils and digging in the rock.

My daughter and I saw 4 of the largest Elk I have ever seen on the North side of I-80 just east of Rock Springs.
We saw so many Pronghorn it wasn't even funny.  I wanted to come help you poor ranchers control your varmits.

Went out this morning with my wife to see if the bison had come on down to the Elk Refuge. No bison, but other critters:

Obligatory pic of wife:

We were up north with the bison on Sunday. Here they are just inside the Park, Mt. Leidy Highlands in the background:

11deg... Birds not chirping... Dead quiet outside... Pure perfection weather for some gun trainning... Cold enough you had to keep moving to stay warm but never got to hot... Pure awesome.... Took some guys out and ran some bsa drills and some different moving drills as a group... All In all pretty fun.... I am a snow bird so this temp was prefect for me some of the guys retreated to the trucks to warm up... But everyone got a valuable lesson in what works and what doesn't in the cold with thick gloves and coats... Made for some laughs.. That and not breathing right into the optic haha...
