Well I got a nice surprise this evening, I was able to actually buy 1000 rounds of .22 LR ammo, this is the first time in the last 4 years I have actually seen any on the shelf.  Here in Kalispell, we have exactly 3 sportings good stores and I was surprised , I was able to find them at one of the local stores, I hated paying as much as I did, it worked out to 9 cents a round, so yes, perhaps the damn has been broken, at least here in the Flathead, finally., but ye ha, .22 back in the ammo safe.

Some of the stuff I had in inventory was getting old and was not reliable any longer, so I am glad to pick up another thousand rounds.

I pulled all the .22 rounds out of the safe this evening and the last brick I purchased, had a price of $6.99 on if from a store by the name of GI Joe's, Just goes to show how long it has actually been since I bought .22 rounds!

Scheels in Billings had a full shelf of it. I think it was 40 some bucks for a brick.

selway armory has .22 all the time
it's tough to find the $25 bricks these days, but $32-50 gets you a good selection.
.22 LR

unfortunately UPS from Missoula to Kalispell will run you $10-12, but if you head down to missoula you can have it sent to the store for free to pick up.

i might be biased since i work for selway, but i'm also pretty sure we have a pretty damn good selection of .22LR

You'll live just fine without them. My experience with the one in Great Falls is that there is always someone friendly and helpful to assist you, but their prices are higher than anyone else around.

Except for sporadic availability at the two Wally World's in Missoula the other larger business in Missoula (Selway Armory, Sportsmans Warehouse, Bob Wards, and Cabelas) have had regular and decent stocks of a variety of .22lr. for quite awhile.

How do you have it shipped to the store?  I need some 10mm that is online but not in the store.

When you order online put in the comments section that you want to pick the order up at the store. When you get an order # call customer service to confirm that & that shipping should be dropped from the order. Have them call you when the order is at the store.

Stopped by Selway Armory yesterday, and they said if one is ordering off their website and wants to pick up at their store then there is a page that will come up asking if the person placing the order wants store pickup.

Don't need to call CS and ask for it.

They had a very good selection of 22lr, as does Cabelas when I stopped there also.

Yeah ordering from the website to have it sent to Selway's store isn't all that intuitive. when you go to check out enter in your correct billing info and then select Ship to this Address (as in your billing address). the next screen, Shipping Information, will give you the option to select UPS or In-Store Pick-up. we say 2-3 days to get it to the store but we try to get it there within a day or two.

Lots of it around short of Wally World, who pretty much just pulled the tags here.

But higher prices than I'd like. I've got a pile sitting around as it is, probably should just suck it up and buy more before the election though.

All I want is CCI Standard Velocity. I can find it at Sportsman's Whorehouse pretty frequently but is $0.09 - $0.10 a round.

Interesting, I have never seen any rifle ammo at our local Murdochs

Murdoch's appears to be adding gun counters and ammunition at stores.  Helena was updated about 5 months ago.  Decent selection for Helena.  Their 12ga prices were decent as well (for what I was looking for).  Not big, but it is there.

Sportsmans Warehouse occasionally gets "Bucket O' Bullets" and 500ct "Thunderbolts" which end up being somewhere in-between 07-08 cents a round.

Well, Walmart never has .22 in stock here in Kalispell, so that leaves me Cabela's, Sportsman Ski House or Snappy's and the pickins has been pretty slim for quite a while now, I think I am going to have to take a trip south to Missoula in the next couple of weeks!
