As of this morning, there was a pretty nice SPAS 12 for sale at Jefferson Gun Outlet in Matairie, LA for a pretty good price.  I live in Jacksonville, FL so I can't come check it out in person.

I have two questions about it.

1).  Is it a push-button or lever style safety?  I could call and find that out.

2).  What's it's condition?  This I'm not really willing to trust a dealer's word on.  SPAS 12s are notorious for developing fractures in the rear of their receiver when the recoil buffer wears out and the bolt carrier slams directly into the receiver repeatedly.  I'm curious what the gun actually looks like in-person.

Anyone willing to take a ride over for me?  I'll throw in $10 for lunch or something if you'd like

I saw it there today. Gun looked to me to be in pretty good shape. Had some scuffs on the end of the mag tube and on the hook part of the stock but nothing significant. Bolt didn't have any wear from what I could see of it. Lever type safety. Don't know about the recoil buffer, don't know if they'd let me take it apart. Don't know how anyway. Hope this helps.
