I am not sure about the laws in many of the New England states, so I need some help.  Is it legal to sell ( thorough an FFL of course) an unfired Eagle Arms 5.56 rifle that was stashed away before the original Clinton fun ban in a out 1991 or 1992?   Same question applies to magazines   I am not selling, but have been asked to help someone liquidating her late husband's stuff.  Most of the guns are things like a cheap 22 rifle, 1894 Winchester, but apparently, he stuck away an unfired Eagle rifle from when they were in Coal valley, or something like that.

I remember him wanting to buy something before the ban, and know he paid heavily to get in on the pre-ban rish to buy.

I just don't know if this would even be legal there anymore, or if it's pre ban status would help her out.

According to MGL as written, said gun would be legal to sell and own.

The AG who rules/creates new law by press conference/memo/FAQs has claimed that pre-9/130/1994 mfd ARs are legal to possess and sell. She could change her mind tomorrow however and hold another press conference . . . so a lot of MA FFLs won't transfer anything that looks like an AR or AK!

I had heard about the AG there, sorry that you folks have to put up with that.  The rifle in question is definitely a pre-ban rifle as it is from the Coal Valley manufacturing facility.  A friend's widow is selling it, and I wish I had the extra coin to buy it, but timing just isn't right for me now.   The guy bought it and put it away unfired, then died.  I think there is a lesson there about saving stuff too long...
