Anyone have a place they prefer for NFA engraving?

I need to have 2 AR-15 receivers and a Thompson 1927-A1 receiver done.

Not sure if the American awards place in Augusta does that or not I've been too busy and keep forgetting to ask them.  I have a couple I need done coming up..

I have a couple places up here in Aroostook - but I really want a good job done...  Don't want to take a risk on something I'll most likely own for a lifetime.

I'm hoping some of the guys have had similar work done somewhere.

Right.

Had my suppressor tube done through sdta.  Came out decent.  Just took a couple weeks to get back.

@drok556

I'm going to use Veritas engraving in MI.

They seem top notch and reasonable.  Spoke with them on the phone.

Yeah I've heard good about them and the tar heel state engravers.. after tomorrow I'll make up my mind what I'll do.

If I had the time and money I'd like to get a machine just to hook up fellow mainers with this job.

At the awards place and he trying to engrave the lower now.  So far 1 bit didnt work    the new tip did a decent job with many passes.  He was nervous since this is the first gun part and metal hardness they've done it's definitely not laser pretty but idc.  They're working on getting good a laser engraver and have already told him there is a market for this type of work. He's gonna keep me posted to when he gets it.

I did Trident.

Next time I'm mailing it away.

They did ok - but it was way too big and way too deep.  It looks stupid as fuck.

They did better on the Tommy Gun, but I get enraged everytime I look at the SBR AR15(s).

Did a transfer with Jeff Furlong recently. Nice guy. Looks like he does nice work. Not obvious when you show up at his shop but its literally in the basement of his house just go around the back of the house and you'll see a door.

Any updates on the place in Augusta getting a laser engraver?   I will mail to tar heel state if I have to but I would rather have the engraving done locally.

@jlr99

Im local to Augusta and the awards shop is the olmy place i could find and they dont do laser. He did say they were looking into getting one but idk if they did.

Furlongs would probably be the one to send it to if you want to stay in state
