Legalizes certain fireworks. None of the good stuff of course but it's a step in the right direction. Brings NJ in line with many other states that allow sparklers, fountains, etc but not mortars or firecrackers. It already passed the Senate and has a good chance of becoming law.

What's is it you guys say? It's a start?

Maybe one day we can graduate to small bottle rockets and Roman Candles.

We'll see about that. I'll be cautiously optimistic. This is NJ you know!

This is a case study on how NJ needs to pass pro-gun legislation. It was commonly reported as making "sparklers and novelties" legal, but if you read the bill it's actually much more than that. It sounds like anything in the "PA legal" section of PA fireworks stores (basically everything but rockets, roman candles, mortars, and firecrackers) should also be legal in NJ now. It also prohibits towns from banning them.

My wife works nights in Walmart and just sent me this picture.

Yes, she works in NJ. As unimpressive as the whole sparklers, party-poppers, snappers and black snakes are it's kind of cool being able to now buy them in Jersey. I'm trying to convince her to buy a box and bring it home just to see what's in it.

Maybe we'll see some new firearms laws. Maybe.

That's a good point. I'm curious, how much is that kit in America compared to how it's priced here. I'm guessing, like with firearms in NJ, that kit is way over priced.

Just another distraction to avoid giving us back out 2A Rights and lower property taxes IMHO.
