As long as the muzzle brake is pinned/welded and it has a 15 round mag I don't see why it wouldn't be legal. I'm no expert so wait for someone smarter than me.

Yep, with a pinned brake, it's legal. Virtually identical to a PTR-91, which is for sale in most NJ gun stores. I haven't been able to find any 15-round G3-style mags, however.... only 10.

Got it.

Looks like the mags can be modified to 15 by cutting and bending out the base to accommodate the floor plate. I have some surplus magazines ordered that I will experiment on first.
