My girlfriend LOVES seafood so I want to take her to a good seafood place (Atlantic City, Cape May, where ever in that general vicinity) for her birthday.  I hate seafood so I don't know any places.  Recommendations?

There is a fantastic crab shack in Cape May where you can pick your crabs and sit outside during the summer. It's right next to a marina. Fuck me, I can't recall the name.

Probably one of the best is the Lobster House in Cape May.  It is where most of the fishing fleet comes in and the food is FRESH.  The Crab Trap is always busy in Somers Point.  Baia also in Somers Point is very good.
I don't go into AC very often but all of the restaurants associated with the casinos are very good, also in AC is Angelo's Fairmont Tavern.  Awesome Lobster Ravioli.

I had some fantastic lobster bisque and calamari at a place in Marmora called Sketties.  It is more of a Italian slant but fantastic service.

Lucky Bones also in Cape May, Back Bay Bistro in Villas.

Just seafood Stick with the Lobster House.
Best of luck and enjoy.

It sounds like the Lobster House, it's been there for forty years.

A fun place to eat seafood!

+1 for the Lobster House

I've eaten there a number of times. It's kind of dated. The waitresses wear sailor uniform dresses that look like they're from the WW2 era. The clientele is kind of older but I haven't had to do CPR on anyone yet.

However, the food had always been very good. I believe it is open in the winter but I would check the hours.

The Crab House at two mile landing?  Wife and I ate there last year.  Lobster house was too crowded.  we sat by the water and ate and drank.  It was good

The best hidden gem, The Oyster Creek Inn, Leeds Point.

Smiths in Somers Point is great. Its not fancy in the least and only open seasonally, but its right on the water, very reasonable and the food is great. Its also called Smittys.
