Unfortunatly I dont have a garden at my house, but while my father was ill I moved my family into his house to help care for him. All his life he had a "green thumb", so I took over the garden applying the skills I learned from him growing up. The "Garden" was about 20'Wx50'L. I had a little of everything from 3-4 varieties of tomatoes, peppers, squash, zuchinni, cucumbers, eggplant, green beans and even a little corn. Half the stuff we never ate we would give it to friends, family and neighbors. My father passed away in Nov last year and the property is starting to look a little shabby while we wait for my brother the executor and the lawyers to decide on what they want to do.
Sorry I drifted a little off topic.
My father always did things the All Natural way with the exception of a Lye treatment at the end of winter it was always table scraps, skins, peels, cores, fat, grass clippings from the neighborhood, leaf piles tossed into the compost pile. Now here's a little known secret for tomatoes. HORSE SHIT/Hay. I'm not kidding. Tomatoes love the high Ph level it makes the soil. The same goes for peppers, strawberries and eggplant.
