Patrolling I

Date: Saturday, September 27, 2014 (this class is also being offered on October 11th)

Time: 09:00 - 16:00  

Location: Pine Grove, PA 17963

Lodging: Primitive camping is available on site at no additional cost.

Prerequisites: None

Cost: $225.00 per person. Class fee must be paid in full no later than 09/24/14 to reserve a slot.

Course Format: Primitive classroom instruction (in the woods), followed by practical application. Bring lunch, snacks and water. Lunch will be conducted in the patrol base operations period of instruction.

Course Description: Patrolling I is a formal course taught in a professional environment by prior service members of the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army’s premier 75th Ranger Regiment. This course lays the foundation required in order to work with a team to conduct various types of operations in real world environments. The proven principles and techniques taught in this course have been adapted to provide maximum value for the citizen operating with the expectation of little or no support. Students are encouraged to bring their own gear to see what works and what doesn’t. However, you can take this course with no gear. Training rifles are available with prior co-ordination at no additional charge. This is a non live fire course.

Recommended Equipment: note taking material, rifle, load bearing equipment, assault pack or ruck, long pants, t-shirt, long sleeve top, hat, camouflage face paint & baby wipes (optional), sun glasses, foot gear with ankle support, knee pads & folding chair.

This class is a prerequisite for our Patrolling II & Patrolling III courses due to the volume of information and practical application involved.
