We will be hosting our August Practical Rifle Match on Saturday August 30th, 2014 at the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, 251 Stoneyford Road Holland PA. Registration will take place at 0900hrs August 10th. Our matches typically sell out in less than one hour so please be prepared at 0900hrs if you want to shoot with us.

You will also need:

A magazine fed semi-automatic center fire rifle.
Eye and Ear protection
Four functional magazines
100 rounds of ammunition
A Chamber Flag
A sling for your rifle
Masking tape for your target
A sharpie marker
To be at the range signed in and ready to go by no later than 0830hrs
A case for your rifle.
Bring exact change and your signed waiver $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members.
A positive and safe attitude

Optional items :

Knee and Elbow pads
A shooting mat
Binoculars or Spotting scope


Things to think about:

We shoot in rain, sleet, snow, and heat. Please be sure to dress for conditions. You will shoot in standing, knelling and prone positions. That means you may get wet or dirty. Please wear appropriate foot gear. We strongly suggest a good boot. No open toe shoes are permitted.

Great job today everyone.  Thank you for  being safe.  Also thank you to all our RSO's and to those who helped both before and after the match.  This month we had our Murphy's Law match.  Half the match was shot with your standard optic, the other half was shot with only back-up irons.  You will see the number of folks who actually did better with irons.  They are noted by the term MURPHY.  So with no further adieu, congratulations Steve K for your first place performance and Alex K for coming in second.
