What's everyone doing to their Gardens to get them ready for planting? Next week I'll clear out some weeds, and till the soil. I'll till it prior to planting.

Anyone have any tips as to how I could control Ants around the garden? I have a huge Ant problem, but I'm not to keen on using commercials in or around my garden.

The garden has been tilled, and will be planting in just a few short weeks...

Anyone have any experience on planting butternut squash? If so, have any pointers?

Mine will be late due to my time and  I still need to get rid of the ground hog. I am planting more on our deck, the girls like it so might as well.

Transplants get to loathe their area and move to where it is nice, then want to change that nice area into the sewer they just left.

The last couple weeks I sprouted tomato, cilantro, sweet basil, eggplant, cucumber, Trinidad scorpion chili, thai basil, bhut jolokia chili, bok choi, few lettuces...all indoors on my window for transplant outside in the coming weeks.  When they get to at least 3" I will move em outside.  Probably need some other stuff like bell peppers, squash, strawberries.

If anybody runs Koi/goldfish ponds they should try aquaponics for the vegi garden!!
