What would you guys/gals like to see happen here (ARFcom NJHTF) within our fine NJ prison state walls, THAT WE could do legally, safely, in the brotherhood of it all? All suggestions are welcome, even the comedic ones, ANYTHING violating CoC WILL get a "time out." Posted: 8/14/2012 4:19:14 PM A sticky for travelers coming to/through NJ, explaining what is legal vs. what is sensible. A list of ranges in NJ. Maybe a list of attorneys with experience in NJ firearms law? There are articles posted about someone being arrested on vague "weapons charges" fairly often around here. NJ knife/weapons law stickies - "Can I carry xyz knife?" is asked pretty often as well. That's all I can think of atm.

Posted: 8/14/2012 8:04:04 PM What about a shooting competition ? Years ago, pre-internet, there used to be a called "mail in" leagues.. Each month you go to the range shoot a string and send in your target. But how can we keep it honest and not "cherry pick" your best 10 shots out of 20 targets? maybe it needs to be your third or 4th set of 10 shots... first two are practice. BTW CCI blazer .22 on sale at Dicks 17.99 for 525 rounds... Remington .22 is 21.99 for 525 rnds brass coated/ got it at Rockaway today... Lame gun selection... I got a bone when I saw an AR but it was an air rifel for 89 bucks...

Maybe each month we alternate between pistol, rimfire and center fire rifles, 2 classes (scoped and iron sights). Choose specific targets, some common targets available at most stores. Choose a distance and a course of fire. Example: October is pistol month, using 8 inch shoot and see targets, 10 shots per target, 5 best targets, range 20 feet. No time restrictions. It would have to be on the honor system, we could probably email pictures of the targets to a scorekeeper.
