THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Would one be crazy to concealed carry a blue plastic inert practice gun in NJ? I wan to see how it feels. I should ignore this thought and not do it? Right? Would it be illegal? |

2C:39-4e:
Any person who has in his possession an imitation firearm under circumstances that would lead an observer to reasonably believe that it is possessed for an unlawful purpose is guilty of a crime of the fourth degree.
4th degree crime is punishable by 1-3 years in prison. As a first offense, you won't do any time. You'll simply lose all your guns, and your right to own a firearm for at least the next 5 years, if not permanently. Carry in your home and on your property all you want. Don't do it in public. |

Just carry an empty holster. No law stopping you from doing that.

A blue gun does not have the weight and fell of a real gun. It is a messed up thing that you can't ccw in nj but that's the officials we all elected. It is a nice feeling being able to carry concealed. Only way to get that feeling in this state is to become famous or a LEO.

So, you are telling me that I could get jail time if I built and drove this down the Parkway (assuming I made it to the Parkway) with the intended purpose of seeing how many SWAT teams would be dispatched.
