For people who specialise in postcodes, you'd think that (i) they could write the postcode in the correct format, and (ii) they would know that the postcode for Davy Hill is  MK5 8xx (it covers a range). The postcode actually given (MK7 8NL) is for Copperhouse Court.

C'mon people. If you're going to go to all that bother, at least do a tiny bit of research.

I really have to ask: Who believes that nonsense

They deserve everything that happens to them.

The thing is, the "Postcode Lottery" is the name of a legitimate thing. Not sure how popular it is, but it's probably recognised by a reasonable proportion of people.

Someone who is a bit slow (ie the kind of people who play the Postcode Lottery in the first place) might well get confused.

Someone who doesn't even live in the same country doesn't have an excuse, however

I'm talking about lotteries of foreign countries they haven't even stepped a foot in.

I have a package waiting.  No kidding.  How did it get over there?  I have an aunt/uncle that died.  Really?  My last Aunt died about 10 years ago, my last Uncle died about 10 years before that.

Then comes the NCO/Officer in Iraq or Afghanistan that wants help getting help getting some loot brought back to The States.  The Nice thing about Military Boards is that there is inevitably some Member in Good Standing deployed within a reasonable distance of the caller.   Reply to the message with some Authentic Military Mailing Addresses and pictures of Certain Members (faces blacked out) who are willing to hep out retrieve the cash.  You never hear from those assholes again.

As for Lotteries: I have the Pennsylvania State Lottery.  Nearly every night the local news has the days winning numbers.  So don't tell me I've won the Lottery when I know that I haven't.
