Me.

And it's a fun gun for knocking about with at the range. There's a few of us have them just for some cheap shooting.

Not at £58/100 it isn't.

I'd rather plait my arse hairs than have an AK. You will realise after owning one for a while that you wasted your hard earned cash on a piece of shit!

£58/100 is too expensive....definitely. That;s why a reload. It doesn't take long on a progressive press, and I'm not going for bench rest accuracy.

The AK is OK - they are not that good but they are OK for a bit of fun. I didn't pay a lot for it so I'm not complaining - had it a couple of years now.

+1
I have one - great fun on ETRs - just use the surplus !
I have rounds from both Ammo Zone and Andy
Everyone wants to shoot it when it's on the range, more so than a gaydel!!

Eventually got a mount for the Viper PST

It's an A.R.M.S. 35 QD base with track mounting rings. It's well made and solid. First impressions, very happy with it.

Here are some pics, just taken on iPhone I'm afraid, but you'll get the idea

Not as elegant as an SPR, granted, but it's built well and offers some flexibility for positioning the rings.
I actually bought it because I'm awaiting an SPR, so I'll have them both to compare soon

I've recently bought 4 SPR-E mounts, think in total must be around 20 I've had in the last 6 years; they are made of chocolate and keep melting.

CAUTION: WOOD!

A couple of Nordic 6.5 x 55 for Soren: My latest acquisition, a Husquavarna Swedish M38, the replacement for my 1916 Carl Gustav that simply wore out:

The sling is a Jon Moore (Saddler) repro of the original Swedish design, very well made, comfortable and effective in use.

Apologies for posting this one again but it sits well with the previous: My two Tikkas, 595 in .243 Winchester (short action, front) and 695 (Long action, back) in 6.5 x 55:

In keeping with the Nordic theme, my Tikka from several years ago, an M55 in .243 Winchester. This is the only rifle I have ever regretted not keeping.

Wood is good!!!
Wapinshaw, you got lucky there, nice looking M/38. The sling is of the target type, used on the 1941 Carl Gustav scoped rifle and onwards (M/63 etc) The regulation sling is simpler and useful as a hasty sling type, but difficult to impossible to use for precision shooting. My own M38 is almost new, has been in a collection for 30 years and now I am ruining it by shooting Actually, the 38 gives me a higher score than does the 96, but then the 96 has probably fired 10.000 shots more than the 38..
Standard ammo for most shooters here is Norma Golden Target, but they are close to 50 p a round now, so reloading has begun.
Good luck with the 38, you'll appreciate the thick front sight post when your eyes get older...

I am pleased with the M38, it seems very compact and handy after the M96. It handles and shoots well, very light recoil. The sling is a modern reporduction from one of the guys on here, Jon Moore (Saddler).

I need to do some more load development, I have just discovered that Sako offer a 6.5 x 55 load with Sierra Match King 140gr bullets at 850 m/sec and a .223 Rem with 69gr Match Kings at 865 m/sec, this is what I use as my AR reload. They are called "Racehead", I am waiting to find out how much they are in the UK:

Sako Racehead Ammunition

Sako Ammunition

I would expect them to be pretty good, have you any knowledge of these?

Finnish ammo is usually of very good quality, Sako's is probably made by Lapua anyway
Have shot a variety of Lapua target loads and they are all very consistent and accurate, but expensive. Norma's line of target 6.5x55 is kept "low" in retail price by the fact that so many shooters use it, both in the coated and uncoated versions. Luckily Norma sells their bullets for reloaders, so it is easy to recreate say a Golden Target round for 20% less since we have once fired cases by the ton in this country.

Basic spec is: .223 / 18" barrel / billet receivers / J.P. fore-end / Magpul furniture.
Will have a Surefire muzzle brake fitted shortly.
Scope fitted is a March 2.5x25, temporarily in an ARMS mount.

Wouldn't bother with Diggle if you haven't got zero, or do you have it.
