I've been trying to find a job on an American base since that seems like my best bet.. just looking for any other ideas that might be worthwhile to look in to? I figure that's my only real option but thought I should ask..

Hello, well first things first, any and all of your qualifications will not be recognised here, sad but true.
I suggest you apply for jobs in the CEO of major international companies or maybe even banks, don't worry, you won't need any special qualifications, as those in that line of work continually get it wrong, at the tax payers expense  .
So I'll stop being a sarcastic Brit, and ask "why on earth do you want to move here?".. Tony |

in addition to the various remaining U.S. military bases, some other options may include the U.S. embassies and consulates, although they hire their fair share of dependents and FSNs with whom you would have to compete
