If you have a link to a club that you would like to share then please post it in this thread.... I am planning on making a resource page and map..
I realise that there may be a language barrier, but it may prove useful to have an idea of where shooting is available... Cheers Dave ETA: I'll get the ball rolling with Coppens in Belgium.. |

It's not the weapon that makes you lethal; the training and the mindset make you lethal.

I just decided to re-tack this one, not the fastest moving thread, on the not so fast €uropean HTF., but it may in time prove interesting.

Is there a thread where we should introduce ourself or something like that?! This forum is soooo big, damn... so many sections... to be honest with you guys, I'm a little bit lost at the moment now... Best regards, MPM |

If you wish to introduce yourself do it over on the Random thread, no need to though, as we don't really go through the formalities that one would on some other forums. no need to speak German, I do but I'm English, I just live here.
Be careful on GD, there are some wolves over there . Tony |

Hi Tony,
what do you mean with GD?! Are we allowed to speak other languages here?! Best regards, MPM |

Fingringhoe is good in the UK but then most people that shoot in the UK are sad wannabies pretending to own semi auto AR15 clones and pistols/revolvers with a barrel around 3 miles long with a metal stick sticking out of the handle!! Give it up UK shooters and take up golf, It really is quite pathetic.

Hey Mat, don't despair, it's the only game in town, and to have all of the UK shooters just turn their back on their sport would have been a shame. Having said that I turned my back on the UK, and stayed here in Germany, because of the gunlaws... If you were to give up or give in to the governments whims you loose, they win.
As a fall back I have taken up archery, and am more than impressed with the fun you can have with a bow, doing the barebow thing, try it. Tony |

I hear what you are saying Tony but it's was soul destroying to lose my 357 magnum and BRNO CZ75 9mm because some gun nut decided to do another jobbie on some poor kids despite his gun club advising the local FLO of their suspicions regarding his mental state.
Result...Knee jerk response. I tried to go with the 12" taurus and the Browning LBP but it's just not the same. I think the gun laws are pretty good where you are and despite the occasional idiot doing his best to destroy them at least the government over there are more understanding. Regards, Matty |

Don't kid yourself pal, the "Killjoy" mentality is hard at work in y very subversive way at the moment, we all have to be very careful....

Tony Bold move Tony, didn't you consider other parts of the UK (Isle of Man, Falklands etc) ? I have thought about moving myself as well if they really started banning stuff (hand guns, semi auto center fire), problem is a have a kid now so moving is more problematic so I decided to put my free time into lobby work for 'sensible' weapons law. My wife really want to move to the UK because she sees all the UK home makeover television and it always looks so nice there, then I have to spoil it all by explaining that I'm not moving to a country with worse gun laws than the Netherlands. |

I left the Army and settled here in Germany 20 years ago now, the more I think about it the more I'm convinced that at that time it was the right thing to do. However had I foreseen the €U turning into the monster that it has become I'd have had grounds to revise that decision and move to somewhere where dope is legal and just get high and stay that way, it wouldn't have been the best of ways to spend the rest of my life, but in the drug induced nirvana I wouldn't care any more.

Map of Czech gunshops and shooting ranges, Czech lng. only.
|
|
|
What are the differences between the red dots and green dots on the map?
They have a nice Fotogalerie. I enjoy seeing the types of shooting sports people do outside of the US. Saw what looked like a Swiss style folding stock on a VZ58. Never seen one before. |
|
|
Red dot - střelnice = shooting range
green dot - obchod = shop |
|
|
Zbrojovka Vsetín offers 2000m shooting range even for public. I didnt know about it and its not on the map. |
