Post them if you got them, really interested in seeing "how the other side" shoot....

I've seen pictures of Coppens, but there are bound to be some good outdoor ranges across Europe....

Now, the Versailles Shooting range (Versailles town close Paris)

First the picture of the FUN SHOOT RANGE it's the section for dynamique hand gun shooting. This picture are during competition.
FUN SHOOT is a like IPSC but without moving with the gun and with many funny and stange targets.

Again Versailles shooting range but in the "long range section".
50m, 200m and 300m I know it's not a real long range it's the distance for Military training when the shooting range was built just after the war of 1870.

An other section for classic hand gun shoting exist 25m and an olympique speed shooting too. no pictures, sorry.

Hiya Mark, Dave and everyone,

Here in Germany we have a load of rifle ranges that the German Army let's us use, unfortunately they are mostly all of the 300m top end type. There are a few longer one's but none anywhere near where I live.

I'll post a few pic's in the near future.

It's a military base. During some year authority leave civilian shooter used some days by year the shooting range maximum distance over 1000 m. A real LONG RANGE.

But the new commandant of the base closed the shooting range for civilian ho

Hiya Mate,

It's at a place called Grosshelfendorf (Bavaria), and it is the 100m rifle range that I'm at every week at least once, sometimes depending on my shift I'm there up to 3 time's a week.

I took the pic's yesterday, while I was there.

It was lovely and cool, we are having another hot day today, 24°C out at the moment.

Anyone ever been here ?? These are old pictures from 1985, and I was staying with the 28th Amphibious Enginners, in Hamlyn, Germany.

We visited this range afew times, it was not far from the base as I remember, but it was a range that had huge 'butrasses' over the range every 20 yards or so that were bullet catchers, I remember looking down range from the firing points an not being able to see any sky for them, so they would of caught and 'stray' shots.

If anyone has been here or has any more upto date photos, I would love to see some.
The range went back about 400 yds.

Been to a very similar range just outside Cologne..

Out to 400m with the 'bullet catchers' all the way down.

All electronic targets!

They even have the 'catchers' on their 25M pistol ranges..

I spent this morning on the Bundeswehr range and forgot my camera, sorry.

What I can tell you though is that my AR was the only one on range and most of the Germans (Reservists) were all shooting G3 clones with the Hensoldt 4x scope.

It was misty due to the range being at the foot of a mountain, there was still snow and ice covering the ground, and when the sun came up the shooting was as good as impossible. My rifle is fitted with an Eotech & BUIS, I was having trouble at 200m to see the plate size tgt. Having said that I didn't do all that bad. The rounds were all where it mattered, not the greatest grouping that I have ever shot but most definitely not the worst either.

Next time I'll post pics.

Yes, it is about 2 years old, whe have number of rifles, pistols, some submachineguns, assalut rifles, snipers and only machine gun (vz.59), but upon request we are able to prepare almost anything for testing. Only thing not allowed there is TRACER and INCIDENTARY ammo. Because of rubber buffers over the bullet catching end.

No problem in organizing such event here, we are used to, there is twice a year meeting of czech shooting fans (other discussion forum in czech language) so if you are interested, we can organize it.

Here's a picture of a range we shot in Sennelager.
Taken from the control tower.

The tower has video links to all the buildings and the operator can talk to the shooters via the tailor's dummies in the rooms. Some great scenarios can be thought up and then you go find the enemy and shoot them. Only rim fire, sadly.

Targets pop up in windows and doorways (a mixture of friendlies and enemies) and run along in front of the 'place of worship' in this last pic.
