Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Mexico Handgun Carry

I'm going to be traveling in New Mexico next week.  I've got a Texas carry permit and have checked the general rules.  However, I'm unclear on travel through Indian reservations.  I'll have the handgun in my vehicle rather than on me.  Is this an issue?  Any other pointers?

If you stay on the state roads, you are ok. There are protections for clear passage through the Rez while in your vehicle. If you stop inside the reservations, don't be carrying.
