I acquired my fathers 1911 (Springfield) And the hammer keeps dropping making it unsafe able to cause an AD

Any reliable (relatively inexpensive) armorers in the ABQ area?

Well I guess I jumped the gun (pun intended)

I called springfield and that gun is still covered under their warranty

Ill be getting back on Thursday.

They needed to replace 3 parts one being the actual hammer

I didn't think it was covered so I didnt call them first

Good deal. CQW is a bona-fide gunsmith if you need anything else.
I can do some triage for him.

Thanks,
Lee
