Nobody drew anything good? I only drew a deer tag (and a javelina tag, but that doesn't count) But my hunting partner drew the second season bow tag on the Valles Caldera. So I will be heading back there again to see if we can get him a good bull.
Struck out on elk, oryx, ibex, big horn sheep and antelope. First year to ever strike out on all those. Hunting on the Caldera will make up for it though. |

I drew Unit 30 deer, Rhodes Canyon Oryx (returning OIF/OEF vets hunt), Unit 28 Muzzleloader Antelope (MacGregor), and Unit 28 Barbary Sheep (MacGregor). Anyone got any experience on any of these hunts previously? I've done unit 30 and was unsuccessful, though I saw a bunch of deer.

Neither me nor the wifey drew anything... applied for deer, elk, oryx and antelope and got skunked. :( I apply for easy(r) hunts to draw but just not my year I guess. First time in about 10 years I have not drawn SOMETHING.

No go here for Ibex but I did draw a antelope in unit 31. Thank god I haven't gotten a single tag in the last three years.

Well I got drawn for a Coues hunt in GMU 27. It's the one bordering AZ and Mexico. Any info on this area would be appreciated. Never hunted there but thought I'd give Cooies a try.

At first they told me that with proof and an official request I could change my dates. When I followed their directions it was clarified that my options were transfer or refund. I will most likely do the transfer. Just not sure who yet. My neighbor expressed the most interest but we are not really "buds".
