If anyone failed to draw a deer or javelina tag, NMG&F has their left over tags for sale. Residents get first chance at the tags, until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, when it opens up to everyone. Go to NM Game and Fish and get your tags.

I got one of those today. Crazy that there were 1200 tags available per hunt!

Probably because some tested positive for cwd

I didn't try for the Draw but seeing as there is a lot of hunts left over. What would be a good one for a first timmer in NM? I have been out Deer hunting but have never been sucessful. Long story...

I guess it is time to find a chest freezer...

Thanks

Of the remaining rifle hunts, I am not sure what I would chose. Check the unit boundry map and find a unit that has a significant amount of non private land. Then get on google earth and see if you can find some suitable terrain within those non-private land areas.
