Given that you're in ABQ, definitely check out the city range. It's a great option when you're new in town, and haven't yet decided what, if any, private range you want to join. Website: Albuquerque Shooting Range Park Your timing is good; Zia only recently began accepting new members again. I'm not sure of the exact schedule for new-member orientations, but you can check the website (Zia Rifle and Pistol Club) for current details. Of course you may want to consider other ranges, depending on what part of town you're in. I happen to be a little biased, having been a Zia member since 2007 or so. |

We are up in Rio Rancho though, so just a little north of you. If you ever want to go shooting at Del Norte, up here in RR, let me know. |

Welcome to NM RB. I was originally from the same part of the country, Wisc. I retired out here, from the military, in 1998. I have never met a nicer group of people than in W. Texas and E. NM.

What part of Iowa are you from? I was born in Sioux Center and have a lot of family in NW Iowa.
