But his body oils must be made of acid or something, because when I got it back the finish was almost all gone off the slide, front strap, and beaver tail.

So today I scrubbed all the surface rust off of it and refinished it in Appliance Epoxy. It's not that great, but it'll hold until I can send it off to Magnum Research to get it redone in Matte Chrome or Gold.

Being a "lefty" I am real fond of lever action rifles. Here are some pics of my collection:

First off is my Marlin 1895 in .45-70. This one is currently at the local gunsmith getting the barrel cut down from 22" to 18":

This is my collection of Winchester 94's....From the left, a Legendary Lawman, Trapper in .30-30, Packer Carbine in .44 magnum, Standard carbine in .44 magnum and a Classic carbine in .30-30 (I have one more standard M-94 in .30-30 with a 20" bbl at my dad's place):

And finally, my Winchester M-88 in .308:

You are too kind......Here is another "Lever action" that I forgot about.....It is a Italian made replica sharps in .45-70 with a color case hardened receiver and a "browned" octagon barrel.....not quite a "Quigly" grade Sharps, but it will do.......

How does that 88 shoot?
I kick myself. I had to pass on a model 88 in 22-250.
That's the one that got away.

I have only had it out to the range (100 yards) a couple of times, but it shoots very nicely. The scope is an older 2x7 Leupold. I knew they were made in .243, but I was not aware that they made them in 22-250 as well. I think they are great rifles in any caliber!

I am hoping to try mine out on those big NM Mule deer someday......!

6.8mm.

10.5" Noveske with M4-2K.

RG,

Nice setups you have there. I really like the Thompson Contender.....What caliber is it?

We are getting a bit of weather here at the ranch today:

So I finally got rid of my FS2000..

And I couldn't be happier with the trade.

I've had more fun with my new Uzi & Witness .45 in two range sessions than I did in 6 months of owning the FS2000.

Thanks.  The TC is in 7mm TCU.  It really shoots.

Yes, the weather is going around and keeping me indoors.

ETA:  Are you Cali legal in that photo or just still preban?

Two words:  Tax stamp.  Alternatively, short barrel.

I've not seen anything of the FS2000 that impressed me.  That Uzi is awesome, though.

I bet that TC is a tack driver. My uncle has one with several different barrels. I have shot it with the .30-30 barrel and I think he had a barrel in .444 Marlin too....That one kicked pretty good....!!!

That AR-15 is not Cali legal, so it stays here in New Mexico with my ranch neighbor. I have this old Colt SP-1 with a RRA Flat top upper back home that is Cali legal (Registered back when the "Dark times" started)......:

I move around too much to play the tax stamp game.  So the best I can do is stick the display barrel in there and WISH it were real.

The Form 4 is the only pain.  A 5320.2 to switch states or otherwise permanently relocate isn't so bad.  Unless you keep moving to communist states and there aren't that many of those.

Still, bad ass gun you have there.  I want a FA mini Uzi, but for ~$8K I can think of a few other things to do.

Thanks, I've got a soft spot for the older "Paramilitary" guns that hit the civilian market back in the 70s & 80s.

I go back and forth from New Mexico, Alabama, & Georgia every other year. While not a problem in NM, or GA, SBRs are a no-no for commoners in Alabamastan. I think they might also be a no-no in Atlanta, but I'm not sure. Once I get into a home of my own here and don't have to go back east every year or so because of declining health in the family I'll be getting an MG for sure. Already have 10K put aside for either a full sized Uzi, or Cobray.

I'm leaning more towards the Uzi at this point because every Uzi I've ever owned has been a complete blast. Then again, I'm also considering dipping into the MG fund to get back some of the notable losses from my gun collection that I sold off 3 years ago to get out here. I was thinking, I could just SBR my PS90 and Model B and use the rest of the money to buy a Spas-12, Poly Legend, Mini-14GB folder, and a nice Mauser broom handle. Because, let's be honest. Full auto is fun, but semi is more practical.

Pic thread!

The first Rifle is a Piston Driven M4. The light is a Surefire M900A with mods=(Larue mounts, Turbo Head, Higher output light), The optics are an EoTech MN511 with a  3x Magnifier on a Larue mount. No Infra red light. The sights are Wilson combat or YHM with meprolight inserts.  I have the complete parts list if you would like it. The lower is no longer available, the maker screwed up and converted a German machine gun and got nailed by the ATF. The lower is a Diamond Socom which does not use roll pins (Ihate god damn roll pins).

Don't know I haven't tried shooting it with the new sights. Just added them they are the new magpul sights. I am actually thinking about having the rail on top of the receiver milled off and adding my own rail The only thing I don't like about any of the 10/22 designs is how high they make the rails on the receivers.

I may give up on the 10/22 before its all over and just get an AR-22 conversion kit.
