I am building a boat on the roof of my house. I will need it if we get any more rain

If I need a boat, we're ALL fucked.

One more reason I like a house with a crawl space. Just that much higher off the ground.

Where you at?

I'm at 2100 feet.  First to drought.

I can piss in the yard and it runs into the White.

Never complain about rain in Arkansas.  It will quit soon enough.  I'll betchee $5.

I'm at 436' but surrounding terrain is about 70' below me. If it reaches my doorstep, shit will have gotten Biblical.

I'm looking for 'naders, at the moment.

I'm just shy of 1100 feet elevation here.  I doubt a boat will do me much good.

We needed them to get to our farm two weekends ago.  Both of these were driving down a county road.

We may need to break out the boats again if this tropical storm hits us.

That's what I heard.  The index bridge at Highway 71 North of Texarkana just opened two days ago.  I'm afraid it will be closed again soon.

Looks like the Bayou Meto duck boat races.

Holy crap, I quit following that tropical depression, I thought it had washed out.  Looks like AR is going to get the Gulf swept on it.TS Bill

(this is exactly the path most of us pray for during an August drought)

I experienced a couple of those boat races this year at meto and the black river.  My little 35HP godevil isn't going to beat those 25HP outboards that are supped up to 50HP.  I will never hunt those public places again due to the idiocy out there.  Plus I can get up at 4, drive two hours to my hometown and be in a hunting place with no competition by 6:15.  I was having to get up at 1:30 to be in a place by 4 at Meto.

Its clear as it can be here in Little Rock.

Boy, what's weird about this Bill storm is that it's generating a ton of precip on the WEST side of it.  Usually a tropical cyclone (from the Gulf) dumps the rain on the EAST side.

(sorry, can't figure out how to post a picture of radar return)  Current FSM radar

4 inches of rain in 2 hours on the mountain today.  S. Washington County.

You boys in Batesville wave to my dirt as it flows by tomorrow.

If this keeps up, I'll have to drive down to Baton Rouge to work my farm.
