I presume the one you're talking about is what we called the pot belly stove. If so they run on diesel, kerosene, and in an emergency gas. The big thing with them is to make absolutely sure the fuel flow control valve is in good shape. I've seen more than one tent burn down from the operator not knowing how to run the thing.
