Had a coworker today tell me he had 2 homicide detectives visit him over the weekend over a handgun he sold to a young female used in a shooting.

My coworker had his ass covered and provided the bill of sale w/ the females permit number, name, and he even had her cell phone number.

So just a reminder that when selling a firearm to someone you haven't met, it would be a good idea to keep some kind of bill of sale w/ at least a permit number to help law enforcement in the event the gun you sold was used in a crime.

That's good advice.  Oh and technically the law says the certificate is required for handgun sales and makes no distinction between retail or private sales...

Your coworker is really lucky btw!
