Story in the Lincoln newsrag
Dick Clark's roots are firmly planted in Lincoln.
A job on then-Gov. Dave Heineman's policy research team brought him to Nebraska in 2011 after attending Auburn University for undergrad and Suffolk University for law school.
Since then, he's set up his own legal practice, specializing in estate planning and business formation. And he just fathered his third child with his wife, Justina, who is director of graduate student recruitment at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Clark, 33, has "a heart for making this a better place" for his kids, he said Monday, announcing his bid for west Lincoln's District 27 seat in the Nebraska Legislature.
"It's something I'm pretty pumped about," he said.
The announcement could have come sooner, he said, but he was waiting until after the arrival of his son.

Yes, that is the Dick Clark that has helped many a gun owner out with drawing up trusts for NFA weapons, which at this point is about the only way to get them if you live in Lancaster county. Oh, and he's a NFOA board member too, and he also happened to help craft LB603 which is the "shall sign" NFA bill currently in the Judiciary Committee.
I encourage those who care about their firearms rights to help him out all you can once his campaign ramps up.
