i may have to drop out of this. just got word that ill be deploying. will find out exact dates and make a decision if i can compete or not here in the next couple of days hopefully.

So apparently my rifle decided to widen from 1 MOA to about 2...don't expect precision from me next weekend.

Just thought I'd drop in and give everyone an update. I just finished prepping the majority of the range today getting ready for this weekend. We have a bunch of new stuff setup and a LOT more space to work with now so I'm pretty excited. The stages are really shaping up to be fun and challenging. If I have time I will post up some photos tomorrow to give you guys a little bit of a sneak peak at some of whats in store for you. It should be a great time!

I had a great time! Did pretty good all and all 4 out 7. My pistol shooting needs a lot of work. I just need more range time in general. Weather was fantastic bugs were out in force.... need to bring bug spray next time I do one of these and some sun screen. Some one posted pictures up on the facebook event. One of the hardest events was shooting clays at 50ish yards standing on a floating bridge thing. Had to time your shots based on how much you and your team mate were shaking. The first round some one shot the target stand and broke the leg off so they had to re shoot and modify to shooting 10 shots on steel plates at 100yards standing on the bridge. Much easier the shooting clays and I think it made it more enjoyable since frustration didn't sit in as much.
Now to get out and take a DC course. Not sure if David is on the forum much anymore but thanks for the fun Sunday look forward to more in the future. Link to some pictures |
