Yes, Stellas is close to the base.  If you want BBQ, Swine Dining is also close by.
Lots of places to eat.  If you are going into Omaha, the choices are plentiful.
Are you bringing the Moose?

Whisky Marinade Steak. My favorite slab of cow in the Omaha Metro Area.

Nope, flying in, and the Moose has been replaced.

How'd you know about the Moose?  Did we meet at some time in the past?

Depending on how long you are in town I would also recommend a stop by Sinful Burger.

And figures you stop by when I go TDY.

Hah!  I used to have a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic I called "The Moose" because it was big and not particularly graceful.  I thought we may have crossed paths in the motorcycle world sometime.

Nope, I'm a FDC (Filthy Defense Contractor) now, and flying up commercial.

Gotcha.  I thought maybe there'd be something different on the ramp!

Here is every restaurant the Omaha newspaper has reviewed, all on a google map.

As far as burgers go, I like Dinkers and Louie Ms better than Stellas.  Both are within 15-20 minutes of base.

A week might cover the highlights, but you could probably go years trying new places without repeats.  I think we're in some record book as having the most restaurants per capita.

We were training some UK RAF guys here in Charleston.  One of them was commenting on the number and variety of restaurants and said, "You Yanks eat to much and you don't pay enough for it."

I replied, "I'm not going to apologize for having a good standard of living."

We also have some RAF folks here training for the Rivet Joints that they bought from us.  They also appreciate our big car engines.
