Nebraska vehicle taxes are ridiculous.  Especially in Lancaster County.  Screw them and their stupid wheel tax.

Maybe for once they could fix streets in Lincoln without shutting down the entire street for 6 months.

Now now Ale... in Lincoln we shut down both major North side  east/west bound roads to one lane to do road work... It is much more efficient and safe. I mean yesterday superior was only backed up 3 blocks because of a 3 car accident....

A couple of years back they had Pioneers Blvd, Sheridan Blvd, and South Street all completely closed at the same time.  Those are the three major east-west streets in my neighborhood.  It was real fun getting to work for a while.

We had a blast camping and floating out there last weekend of June.. thanks for letting us invade.

We even had nasty thunderstorms, I slept in my vehicle Sat and Sun because my tent got flipped and almost went into the river.  Still a great 4 days away.

Thanks for proving the local stereotype on Colorado residents.

A lot of us live here, a good portion of the land is still owned by the descendants of the people who Homesteaded the land. The power line actually looks like it will follow existing ROWs so it'll be a non starter for most. The only time folks here get upset is when people in Government in place like Lincoln or Washington tell us they are taking land via eminent domain for some project.

Hey leave Philip Licking out of this conversation.

What was wrong was your idea that because so few of us live out here, someone from Lincoln or DC can impose their ideas upon our land. Or at least that is  how it came across to me. This is all private land, very small amounts are government owned.

theres not really any row's once it heads east from thedford - not even access through most of it

the power that  these lines would carry would really be of no benefit to nebraskans as most of it would be taken out of state

kind of like KXL - the people most inconvenienced by the line get exactly no benefit from it

oh she seems to have her own agenda for sure -- most of which does not jive with the thinking of the majority of nebraskans

i dont think BOLD has gotten involved in this transmission line project...  they seem busy with KXL

most of her supporters seem to be either liberal greenies like herself, or multi-generation landowners just desperate to do anything to save their land from being bulldozed across

thats a hard spot to be in, and i cant really fault them for trying every angle to protect their way of life, but YMMV
