I'm with Engineer.  They scare me, and nobody should own them.

Also, I kinda want a 308 AR.

I have all the parts to put together a new 11.5" upper but it's so **#&! cold I haven't had much motivation to get it assembled since I don't want to go shoot in this weather.

My speed pistol skills are fading.

Hopefully 500 rounds on Christmas day will help with that.

Having a 308 AR is like adopting a 350lb Samoan teenager....

@ $.70 a trigger pull it will eat you out of house and home!

Finally got out last weekend and tried out the new 11.5" upper.  Love the Eotech.  This thing is light and fast on target.  Shot it a little at 100 yards and without a good rest, just using the mag as a monopod, it's holding about 2 MOA.  I bet if I actually had a magnified optic it would shrink that down a little.  I have a new favorite gun.

Now, just waiting for my Form 1 to come back so I can crank out another can on the lathe.  I already have a .22 and a .308 can but the .308 is a beast.  I way overbuilt it so I could use it on larger calibers.  Next one is going to also be a .308 but I'm going light.  Going to just use it for 5.56 and 300 BLK.

I haven't shot past 600 yet. Gonna go out tomorrow and see if I can hit the ground out to 900.

Furthest I've shot (and hit anything) is 700.  I've shot out to 900 but couldn't quite connect.  I had 5 rounds left at the time and put all 5 of them in a circle around the edge of the gong

I really need a laser rangefinder.  I can range fairly accurately with mildots, but it's SLOW.

It makes it way faster. I'll let you play with it.

This may be of interest to you too.

My printer hates me right now.

I shoot at least 2 times a month at competitions every month. During the warmer months I try to get out and do some live fire practice as well. During the colder months (like now) I do mostly dry fire as far as practice.

The multigun competitions held by Eastern Nebraska Practical Shooters (ENPS) at Eastern Nebraska Gun Club (ENGC) are a lot of fun and let you show off your rifle skills at least somewhat. I like to put in challenging shots to give people a hard time. (Like one match where I put a headshot only target with just the the top half of the head showing and the rest of the target being a no shoot. LOTS of people got no-shoot hits on that one... They forgot their offset.

I also shoot the ENPS Steel Challenges with my S&W M&P15-22, as they recently started allowing rimfire rifles at this competitions. It's a LOT of fun! Even though I have a huge advantage, it's nice posting times faster than everyone else with a .22 rifle and an optic.

Other than that, I pretty much always shoot at ENGC. The membership isn't expensive, the ranges are awesome, and it's only about a 25-30 minute drive from Omaha.
