I can almost guarantee you that you will not get over $300 value in trade for your pistol(probably closer to $250).
They are in it to make money, first and foremost. I suggest you put it up for sale here on the EE or on the classified section of the NFOA forum for what YOU think it's worth. You ARE a member of the Nebraska Firearms Owners Association, aren't you???? http://nebraskafirearms.org/ |

That is a whole lot of guilt and shame for just one post.
Or was that a Jedi mind trick? Either way, I will check it out. |

I looked into trading in a Browning Citiori XT Trap at Scheels. They offered $500 less than what market value was. I told them to pound sand. Listed it for sale local and sold it for what I wanted in one day.

Thanks for the info. Did you list it on ar15? I think I will do that and see what happens. Have nothing to lose.

This is how Scheels, Cabelas, GU, etc. figure out what to give you for a used gun. First, amount depends on condition. If you shot it or there is holster wear or any blemishes that they can see it drops to at least 90%. Then they generally give you 65%-70% of market/blue book value. So, if you want a certain price sell it online or in the paper or newsletters, etc. For example: I took a 1960s Swedish rifle to Cabelas to see what they would give me. The guy there offered me $300 for it based on his internet research. It is worth a lot more than that, and it kills deer. So, look on gunbroker to see what it goes for then take 60% of that price and that is what the big box stores will give you.
Let me know how much you want for it and I may be interested. If I were you, I would keep the Glock and stop thinking about the Kahr, apparently they are not as reliable as a Glock. |

How much do you want for it? IM me please. |
