THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I have a G26 gen 3 that I have put about 50 rounds through. I am considering trading it off for a Kahr CM9. My question is where is the best place to do a trade in Omaha? Scheels has a CM9 for $449 but will not give me a trade in value on the Glock without bringing it in, I believe Cabela's is the same. Anyone have an idea who offers the fairest price for trades?

I can almost guarantee you that you will not get over $300 value in trade for your pistol(probably closer to $250).
They are in it to make money, first and foremost.

I suggest you put it up for sale here on the EE or on the classified section of the NFOA forum for what YOU think it's worth.

That is a whole lot of guilt and shame for just one post.

Or was that a Jedi mind trick? Either way, I will check it out.

I looked into trading in a Browning Citiori XT Trap at Scheels. They offered $500 less than what market value was. I told them to pound sand. Listed it for sale local and sold it for what I wanted in one day.

Thanks for the info. Did you list it on ar15? I think I will do that and see what happens. Have nothing to lose.

I'd try NFOA first. Local sale means no shipping hassle.

This is how Scheels, Cabelas, GU, etc. figure out what to give you for a used gun. First, amount depends on condition. If you shot it or there is holster wear or any blemishes that they can see it drops to at least 90%. Then they generally give you 65%-70% of market/blue book value. So, if you want a certain price sell it online or in the paper or newsletters, etc. For example: I took a 1960s Swedish rifle to Cabelas to see what they would give me. The guy there offered me $300 for it based on his internet research. It is worth a lot more than that, and it kills deer. So, look on gunbroker to see what it goes for then take 60% of that price and that is what the big box stores will give you.
Let me know how much you want for it and I may be interested. If I were you, I would keep the Glock and stop thinking about the Kahr, apparently they are not as reliable as a Glock.
